Soft Serve - First Taste Love

Soft Serve - First sight love

The first foodie review! Wohoo!! (a great round applause please haha)

Soft Serve is one of my favourite dairy product, and it is a first taste love. It happened in Seoul when I got to try Milkcow's signature honey comb soft serve(btw they use organic milk which makes it being more appreciated). The rich milky flavour and creamy texture Since then I fell in love with it. When I was in NYC during the summer, I did not have a chance to try momofuku milk bar's famous cereal milk soft serve(still feel sentimental about the fact that it was sold out).

So here it is. Soft Creme got me cover! It is a newly open soft serve shop in Tai Hung. There are two base for the soft serve - Hokkaido Milk and the unusual Cereal Milk! Other than a cereal they offer bacon bites and caramel popcorn as well for the cereal milk base; for the hokkaido milk base they have honey comb, macaron and chocolate with himalayan salt(!) as topping.

Cereal milk w/ Caramelised cornflakes or Bacon bites ($38/42)
The caramelised cornflakes give it a great crunch and a sweet notes at the end of each mouthful. It is perfect for people with a seer tooth.
Whereas the bacon bites make a completely different flavourful combination with the creamy base. It is more on a chewy side which allows its saltiness to come through as you eat it with the sweet cereal milk soft serve.

Hokkaido milk w/ Australian Honeycomb ($42)
The chewiness from the honeycomb works well with the creamy ice cream. Imagine yourself eating a sweeten version of greek yoghurt+honey(Delish!). Personally I would like to have a stronger milk flavour for the soft serve itself. Overall it is just not as memorable as the one I had in Seoul, however it is definitely one of the best honeycomb soft serve in Hong Kong.

Hokkaido milk w/ Giaoduia chocolate and Himalayan Salt ($42)
A classic combination of chocolate and salt. I really love the hint of salt that you get, it simply lifts up the bitterness of the chocolate.

I wish I could try the Moët Champagne soft serve..

Summer Memories - Beauty of Exploring

Summer Memories - Beauty of Exploring

Summer is approaching, swimming pools are open once again! It is super hot at noon in hong kong, I don't really like the weather much, it's too humid and sweat is my biggest enemy during these days. (although during exercise, we are always best friend, hehe.)

I have major obsession with Nordic lifestyle. I love their food such as salmon, dill, beets, elderflower, sea buckthron, rosehip, buckwheat, swedes hemp, millet..... the sky is limit!

Last summer, I finally made my first visit to one of my favourite country - SwedenThe time my family had spent in Sweden was amazing, it was truly an unforgettable experience. Summer time at Sweden is like autumn here in hong kong, sun is out but is not as humid and hot as hong kong. I simply fall in love with such perfect weather.
The trip is marvellous! Here are some of the highlights of the trip:

Dinning at World 50 Best Restaurant - Restaurant Frantzén. One of the best meal in my life time, I will never forget every single taste of their mouth watering food. The look of it, the taste of it... can only be described in one word, two syllables - DEFINE.
(review on Restaurant Frantzén will be on the blog, I promise!)
Chilling at Rosendals trädgård. It is definitely a must-go in Stockholm during summer. We had a great afternoon tea time at the garden and came back with bags of local organic honey, infused salt, and seeds for planting.
Biking along against gentle breeze.
Our house in Stockholm countryside.
Completed our 2013 Europe Summer with a fantastic dining experience at high-end modern bistro - Mathias Dahlgren.

Big thanks to some of my favourite bloggers Elenore, David&Luise, and Sarah who inspired me in living a healthy lifestyle and to learn more about Nordic products. It is so exciting to see awesome nordic local produces everywhere during my travel.Sweden is no doubt a country that I will return for sure. I'm festinating to revisit Sweden again, hoping to go further than Stockholm, and dreaming for a chance to visit Copenhagen as well, Noma is one of the my very attraction(duhhhh) Teeheee..There's always something awaiting us to discover, hence, embrace the beauty of exploring and experiencing.*Summer holiday is coming soon, what's your plan? tell me about it! I would like to know what's you special plan for these HOT days, feel free to send me email or leave a comment! :)
